About Us
The Global Center for Health Diplomacy and Inclusion (CeHDI) is a new Swiss registered Foundation committed to build robust strategic partnerships among like-minded countries to promote and actively drive sustainable and collaborative change for Global Health Equity and the Right to Health. It also amplifies and facilitates the inclusion of the priorities and voices of the Global South within the Global Health Architecture and negotiations based in Geneva. Born from the urgent need to rectify the global health inequities exposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and other health crises, CeHDI aims to foster dialogue for global health equity, the right to health and to protect our gains in global health.
Your Role
As an Advocacy Manager, you will be responsible for the ideation, planning, and execution of high-level advocacy strategies, programs, and events. This role requires a robust understanding of global health issues, strong communication and coordination skills, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including policymakers and diplomats. The Advocacy Manager will work collaboratively with communications and program teams, Advisory Board, and critical partners to develop a compelling agenda that impacts global health equity and the right to health.
Key Responsibilities
- Define a sustainable mechanism to identify advocacy opportunities and needs to advance global health equity and the right to health and monitor its impact.
- Conceptualize and develop a series of regular high-level online and in-person advocacy events that address critical issues in global health equity and the right to health.
- Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, online platform selection, speaker engagement, agenda development, and participant outreach.
- Develop innovative strategies to advance the voices and priorities of the Global South among intergovernmental bodies and international organizations to realize global health equity and the right to health.
- Identify, engage, and recruit senior and influential leaders from government, diplomacy, and civil society as champions for global health equity and the right to health.
- Participate and contribute to critical strategic actions including knowledge exchange and sharing, leadership training programs, and research.
- Develop and disseminate joint statements, position papers, and advocacy materials that reflect common positions and actions to advance global health equity, the right to health, and to protect gains in global health.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and educational background.
Experience and Skills
- Five or more years of public health experience in the fields of advocacy, partner engagement and coordination, public relations or any other related field.
- Experience in the organization and management of advocacy events and partner engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in diplomacy at the international level.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs and priorities of low and middle-income countries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Fluency in French is an asset.
Education
Masters level university degree in communication, biomedical or social sciences.
