Start Date: 26 November 2025

End Date: 26 November 2025

Half of the world’s population menstruates for an average of 35 years of their life. Yet, millions of women and girls across low- and middle-income countries continue to rely on unsafe materials such as old cloth or tissue paper to manage their menstruation.

A variety of market and trade barriers have prevented safe, quality, and affordable menstrual products from reaching those most in need.
This dialogue will examine how Health Diplomacy can foster cooperation between health and trade systems to ensure access, quality, and safety, central pillars of the Right to Health.

Speakers & Partners

The session will feature insights from representatives of the Permanent Missions of Barbados, Canada, and the Republic of Malawi in Geneva, also with the Sanitation and Hygiene Fund (SHF) and the Global Center for Health Diplomacy and Inclusion (CeHDI).
