CeHDI at the 2025 International Conference on Family Planning

CeHDI at the 2025 International Conference on Family Planning

Start Date: 3 November 2025

End Date: 6 November 2025

Location: Bogota, Colombia

Shining the Light on the Right to Health as a Gateway to Global Health Equity

The Right to Health is a legal obligation grounded in international human rights law, and it must be the foundation of our efforts toward universal access and equity. At CeHDI, we champion the Right to Health as a framework for justice and accountability. Through research, advocacy, and diplomacy, we work with governments and partners to ensure the Right to Health is protected, implemented, and enforced for women’s wellbeing.

Around the world, universal health coverage, including sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), is under threat. Regressive policies and shrinking solidarity are rolling back hard-won gains, especially for women, girls, and marginalized communities. In 2024 alone, nearly 1 in 4 countries experienced a backlash against women’s rights (UN Women). The urgency to act, and to act together has never been greater.

CeHDI is proud to be bringing our work to the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP 2025) in Bogotá, Colombia to amplify the message that governments must be held accountable for the Right to Health and guarantee that every person can access quality and essential health services, including SRHR.

Join us on Tuesday, 4th November, for a high-level breakfast that will have ministers, diplomats, and advocates sharing the critical role they play in advancing the Right to Health, and how we can best drive the change that the governments need to anchor women’s wellbeing.

We are also delighted to invite you to a special activation event happening at the CeHDI booth (40-41) on the first floor. Join us on Wednesday, 5 November at 14:30 or Thursday, 6 November at 10:00 for “Co-Creating Empowered Youth Advocacy: Building a Right to Health Action Brief for SRHR”. This fast-paced, interactive workshop-in-miniature will provide a platform for youth and allies to share their expertise and connect with other young professionals to develop a global repository of knowledge.

Young people are sometimes consulted but rarely centered in the creation of advocacy tools and materials. This activation shifts power to youth advocates to define what’s needed to turn the Right to Health from ambition to action.

Your 10-minute journey at the booth:

  1. Scan the QR code with your phone or visit the link on the screen
  2. Answer 3 quick Menti Meter questions on:
    • The biggest barriers to advancing SRHR where you live or work
    • What’s missing from your advocacy toolbox
    • How you see real change happening

3. Watch your responses and those of your peers appear on the screen in real time

4. Discuss and exchange as patterns emerge

5. Opt in to receive the invitations to future youth-centered sessions and opportunities to contribute to a Right to Health action brief!

You’ll leave with:

  • New insights into challenges facing youth-driven advocacy in SRHR and crowd-sourced solutions for overcoming them
  • A broad global perspective on youth engagements happening around the world
  • New colleagues, connections, and friends who share your passion for action on SRHR and the Right to Health
  • The chance to engage with CeHDI on future youth initiatives and co-author the advocacy action brief

Please reach out to info@cehdi.org (mailto:info@cehdi.org) with any questions or comments. We look forward to seeing you in Bogotá!
